Workplace Giving Helps You Make a Difference

Fall is kick-off time for many workplace giving campaigns like the United Way, the Combined Federal Campaign, and the City of Frederick Combined Charities Campaign.

Deducting contributions from your paycheck throughout the year is convenient for you, and all those payments can have a big impact.

If you authorize a $5 or $10 donation from your biweekly paycheck, your total gift will be $130 or $260 respectively -- enough to cover a month's electric bills for one of the homeless families in our Transitional Housing Program.

To have the greatest control over your workplace giving, designate your gift to Advocates for Homeless Families.  Designating your gift ensures that your donation is contributing to the work of an organization whose mission you value.  For United Way campaigns, you can designate Advocates for Homeless Families even if you work outside of Frederick County.

If you don’t see us listed as a partner agency in your workplace giving materials, ask your campaign coordinator how to direct your gift to Advocates for Homeless Families.
